ABOUT THE ARTIST
Katrina Hude lives on Whidbey Island in Washington State. She began working with glass as an undergraduate at California College of Arts and Crafts and then, received an MFA from San Jose Sate Univ. California in sculpture in 1995. Since, she has been awarded the fellowship at The Creative Glass Center of America and Emerging Artist in Residence at the Pilchuck Glass School. Katrina has lectured and demonstrated as a guest artist in Japan, Australia. Here in the US, she was an Artist in Residence at the Tacoma Museum of Glass and a Visiting Artist at West Texas A&M University. In 2012, Katrina also participated in the International Glass Symposium at Novy Bor, Czech Republic, the Glass Art Society Conference, Toledo, Ohio and the California Glass Exchange in Oakland, CA. In May of 2014, she will be an Artist in Residence at the Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo, Ohio.
