The blue footed booby seems like a mythical bird residing with dragons and mermaids, somewhere other, and off the map. But no, here they are, in this magnificent world, their bright blue feet, waving as they walk and swim along the warm coast lines of the Pacific Ocean .

Love, with this immense ability to move us and shape us, seems magical as well. An unseen energy of story that is at the heart of everything. But no, love is here, residing in hearts, homes, ideas, art, nature; curling up in a teacup or filling our sails.

Each summer, the blue footed, booby, high steps and whistles. They’re bright blue feet, tapping out an ancient dance of courtship.

Our hearts love who they love, and for these people, for this planet, for our endeavors, we do this ridiculous dance.

The Spark Cups are my painted poems upon a cup, with a bit of wonder and kindness stirred into the art for good measure.  Designed in my Washington State studio, made in Thailand in a facility meets European standards for people and planet. Holds 9 ounces.

The wares are food, microwave, and dishwasher safe, as well as family and café proven strong. Third party tested for food safety.

  • Size: Large (9 fl. oz.)
  • Measures diameter 3” height 3.5”
  • Art on all sides.
  • Comfortable to hold with a unique thumb divot.
  • Your hands deserve to be happy holding this cup!

Useful Care Instructions:

The bottom of the cups is porous and will absorb water during washing. It is best to make sure it can dry upside down completely before putting away, thus allowing all the water to evaporate from the cup to keep it in pristine condition.
