This cup is dedicated to our friends. To their comfort and support, to their listening and responding and loving. The sea of friendship is infinite, and upon it we travel through life with a better map, a stronger wind, and a warm, cozy galley.
.
We raise our cups to the friendships we treasure, be them a lifetime long, or recently discovered. We love you and hum along to the tune that is us.

The Spark Cups are my painted poems upon a cup, with a bit of wonder and kindness stirred into the art for good measure.  Designed in my Washington State studio, made in Thailand in a facility meets European standards for people and planet.

The Spark Cups are painted poems upon a cup, with a bit of wonder and kindness stirred into the art for good measure.

In the spirit of Charles DeLint's words, "touch magic, pass it on", I hope my time in the realm of makers and poets, where I forge a bit of myself to the great body of collective work, is carried to you upon a cup. May whatever it stirs in you be passed on down the line.

Like prints of a painting, the cups that make up The Bowl Maker’s “Lucky Cup Line” are faithful ceramic reproductions of the artist’s original clay designs. Part poetry, part vessel, part illustration, part paint, part prop, part documentation, each piece is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Holds 9 ounces.

Measures 3.5" tall and 3" diameter..

Size: Large

Useful Care Instructions:

The bottom of the cups is porous and will absorb water during washing. It is best to make sure it can dry upside down completely before putting away, thus allowing all the water to evaporate from the cup to keep it in pristine condition.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
