Koi Lucky Cup

Regular price $26

Unit price per

Of late I have had the most spectacular imaginings of koi as couriers. Ample of time and light, delivering love notes to my body and character, and then out beyond myself to whoever my work touches.

With each writing, painting, cup and bowl, may you feel a sense of space and kindness. May you feel cared for and inspired as an incandescent imaginary koi lingers in your home before making its way back to my studio to refill its bake with love.
Like prints of a painting, the cups that make up The Bowl Maker’s “Lucky Cup Line” are faithful ceramic reproductions of the artist’s original clay designs. Part poetry, part vessel, part illustration, part paint, part prop, part documentation, each piece is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Holds 9 ounces.

Measures 3.5" tall and 3" diameter.

Size: Large

Useful Care Instructions:

The bottom of the cups is porous and will absorb water during washing. It is best to make sure it can dry upside down completely before putting away, thus allowing all the water to evaporate from the cup to keep it in pristine condition.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Living off the grid, artist Cary Lane creates ceramics inspired by nature.  While attending California State University Long Beach, she fell in love with ceramics. Living near Mount Baker Washington, she incorporates wildlife and themes of the outdoors in her work.
